I was raised in a musical family with classical training in piano, bass and voice. At the age of 14, having discovered the genius of Paul Simon, I taught myself guitar and began writing songs. A fascination with the likes of Beethoven and Danny Elfman later led me to begin experimenting with composition. I probably would have come a lot further if I hadn't been distracted with sports, writing scripts, or impressing the ladies (none of which I ever succeeded in).

My first opportunity to compose for film came when I asked my good friend, Kohl Glass, if he would let me write the music for The Promethean. Much to my surprise, he consented. Since then I have had the privilege of scoring all of Kohl's films.

I eventually put a huge investment into my music by moving overseas to study at the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, where I earned a BA in Music, and learned to truly appreciate the sunshine.

I am now back in sunny Arizona working as a composer and math teacher, and learning to appreciate the rain again.
