Coney Island

Brandon Dayton was a friend of Kohl’s who was also a BYU film student.  Having heard my work on the Promethean, he asked if I would do the music for one of his projects.

This was a simple story of a boy who encounters 2 medical magicians which agree to cure his father in exchange for them having mistakenly eaten the boy’s lunch.

The composition itself went very quickly, as Brandon had very specific directions as to what he wanted.  the recording was done over a 3-day weekend at Orangewood Studios – Marcus Howard again as engineer – with one violinist, a trumpet – who’s part I had to record at home on my 8-track due to scheduling conflicts – and myself on the rest of the instruments (Marcus plays the drum roll on “Another Show”).
